Choral music comes in many forms. |
About Us |
|
On a social level, our club functions as a meeting point for composers, singers, instrumentalists, and those who want to experiment with being any of the three. Functionally, we are a choir with weekly 2-hour rehearsals on Monday evenings, semi-weekly workshops to work on specific skills, and at least one major concert each semester. We also host feedback sessions with the choir for composers who are interested, and will have a composition workshop with a guest clinician each semester. The main goal is to provide a place for people of all experience levels to sing and improve. For more information, see our FAQ document below.

What Are Your Member Roles? |
Your member roles are determined by you. All we require is that you try to attend the two general meetings during the year and submit both your waiver and membership fee. Members can be singers who attend rehearsals regularly, casual choir members who drop by when they have time, first time composers, people with choral music already in the works, or simply individuals interested in choir music that want to stay in the loop and share their opinions about compositions. You decide.

Submitting Compositions |
You do not need to be a member to submit your composition/arrangement (although membership is only $2, and as a member you will have benefits such as free admission to our concerts and a reduced workshop price). Just contact us via email or fill out the form on the Contact page, and we'll get back to you within a few days. While we reserve the right to refuse compositions with inappropriate or unreasonable content (or the right to modify these compositions to make them more performable if the composer allows it), we will not dismiss compositions that show effort and creativity because of their musical "correctness" or their level of musical sophistication. If you write it, we will sing it!
